Objective
This training focuses on skills and practical applications based on a sound management framework. After the training, the participant should be able to:
• Understand the needs for a consistent but flexible business strategy. Know the Balanced scorecard application process to deploy strategy and align organisation.
• Develop strategy map and understand its role as communication tool and in shaping employee’s behaviours.
• Develop a set of performance objectives/indicators based on strategy map using balanced scorecard method.
• Understand how to manage the performance in a BSC organisation.
• Understand the challenges and critical success factors during BSC implementation process.
WHAT BALANCED SCORECARD?
• You are a corporate leader or manager and you know where your business should be going and how it should be doing. However, your employee does not share the way you think, does not do the way you want to. Don‘t they share your vision and do not work toward common objectives? Strategy deployment based on Balanced Scorecard could help you to mitigate this challenge. It also helps you with performance management issues.
• Balanced scorecard is strategy deployment approach that aligns all functional units and people toward a common strategy. This is done by identifying the priority areas of actions, linkages between them and the set of performance objectives/indicators for each of the organisational units. The objectives, then will be used to manage and align organisational performance, evaluate and develop employees. This would shape the behaviour of employees toward the sustainable development of your enterprise.

Section 2. Building BSC based management system
Section 3: Building BSC based management system (cont)
Section 4. Building BSC based management system (cont.)
Section 5. Organisational change when applying BSC
Target Audience
Corporate leaders, top and middle managers – who are leading the company and managing its people and performance.
A group of managers/key employees from the same organisation would best facilitate the real case discussions on the class, so that the discussion outcome could be used directly for a that specific organisation.
